Chilika Shelduck Folk Carnival

We are back with Chilika Shelduck Folk Carnival at Odi Art Centre. Participate with family and Enjoy the Carnival.

Shelduck Folk Carnival-2021

The special theme of the Carnival is Ganjam. It will showcase the folk Art and Culture and street food of Ganjam.
1. Launching of the Ceremony and Inauguration of Photography Exhibition on Lake Culture (8th Dec-12th Dec-5 pm onwards)
2. Seminar on “Ganjam and its contribution to culture, literature, Political and Economic Development of Odisha” (9th Dec. 11 am in both virtual and physical mode)
3. Seminar on “Lake Culture” (10th Dec. 11 am in both virtual and physical mode)
4. Inauguration of International Folk Art Gallery and National Folk Art Gallery, Display of NIFT Designs (10th Dec. 5 PM onwards)
5. Folk Painting Workshop in Natural colour (8th Dec 12th Dec Open to Public)
6. Events on every day afternoon like Matka Race, Tug of war, Ladies Kabbadi, Children’s competitions etc
7. Folk performances every day on Ganjam Theme and on other states from 3 pm onwards
8, Valediction & Fashion show in collaboration with NIFT, Bhubaneswar IPROCH International Folk Art Award to be conferred on three Folk and Tribal artists Felicitation of Padma Awardees in the field of Folk Culture (12th Dec 5 pm onwards - Open to limited special invitees on booking only)



“The Odi Art Centre hosted the first CHILIKA ART SANCTUARY 2020 at Pervasha Folk and Trial Art Museum in Odi Art Centre from December 10 to January 31. 42 artists from seven Asian countries, including India, Korea, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Myanmar participated in the exhibition, The exhibition reflected Odi Art Centre's vision of providing an international platform for folk and tribal art, offering an opportunity to folk and tribal artists, in Asian countries. This exhibition was curated by Mr Insang Song, South Korea.”
